Oluremilekun Stella Abimbola, nee Onibokun, was a mother, grandmother, sociologist, diplomat, publisher, author, documentalist, diocesan lay reader and worker for the Lord as a Bible College Co-ordinator of Lagos Anglican Bible College (LABICO), Ikeja Campus.
She was married to Late Barrister Lashe Abimbola LLB and though she gave birth to four children, she gave her life to many more she considered were hers. When asked what she wanted out of life, she would respond, “to serve the Lord and make my children proud.”
She wanted her life to be an example of active faith for others and marked everything that she set her mind to with her touch of excellence.
She had a great sense of humour, enjoyed travelling and was a staunch advocate for self-empowerment. After she became a widow, she re-dedicated her life to the church. She considered herself “married to Jesus” and bought herself a ring which she wore and seldom removed.
She will be remembered for speaking her truth and sharing her dear light.
